Poetry Post 200

So Much For The Afterlife
Every soul commits its daily sin
All twenty thousand days we're living in
And every sin counts toward death and strife
So, so much for the afterlife
There's no resetting it only gets higher
Every sin takes us closer to when we expire
And every sin counts toward death and strife
So, so much for the afterlife
We are conscious to truth and to pain
And the truth of the two are quite plain
And every sin counts toward death and strife
So, so much for the afterlife

Heroes Of Hollywood
You were always the hero I needed you to be
You were the full potential of what could have been me
You lived by morals that meant more than man's laws
Even your sins were noble for heroes need heroic flaws
After all who can try without facing failure
When you fall it only makes success mean that much more
You were a hero because we always got what we expected of you
Consistency is the key to being the idol of those who would never do
You could never betray our trust and therefore never lose our love
You have a lot of companions but no peers when set so high above

Solitary Planet

Alone in a dark universe of only one
One planet in a galaxy void of sun
No path, no destiny, wandering space without reason
No light, no life, only one hostile season
Nothing within nothing without
Just empty mass thrusting about

Rushing To Be Loved
How many times have I felt this way before
The feeling that we could be more
Again I fall out of relationship procedure
But I need something more because I'm insecure
I need to validate my worth for my esteem to endure

Knowledge And Pain
I know of pain and of truth but I know not why
My vulnerability and knowledge makes me want to cry
I know how to prevent and delay
But sometime someday
I surely shall die

Locked Up Room
Locked up inside this lonesome room
Stuck in my sorrow and gloom
Unable to set myself free from here
Trapped in the room of fear
In this room there isn't a window
There is nowhere to go
There is nowhere to leave no place to exit
Just enough room to fear as you sit

House Of God
I'm unwelcomed to the House of God
I am a Christian fraud
I went to find instant euphoric pleasure
But lost God's spiritual treasure

Spiritually Dead At Birth

Spiritually dead at birth
Living in hell on Earth
What is left for me on either side of the grave
Too inhibited to live now to desperate to save

Hate And Fate
All grounds on which to hate
All rot away in the final fate
Why chain ourselves with hate when love sets us free
Why restrict ourselves in futile energy

Derica
Derica dark princess of the night
Laying in my bed I embrace you tight
Angel of my day, lover in the night
A sexy woman Paradise of Delight
But demands respect and shall be treated right
Tender, kind yet a source of feminine might
Proud but not haughty secure in her height

Derica II
Derica a sweet and gentle spirit
A wonder incomprehensible to be near it
A soul so tender is everyone's duty to revere it
Derica a name so wonderful just to hear it
Peace and security are her presence
Love and kindness are her essence
Sincerity to the full without pretense
Most beautiful of all in every sense

Derica III
Your eyes glow like the summer moon
Your smile is brighter than the sun at noon
Your touch is a warm ray of sun in a dark cold windstorm
Your soul has all the beauty of nature in feminine form
The shaded oaks are envious of your embrace
Nature has not a safer nor such an inviting place
The beauty of your body and spirit never cease
It's purity and compassion places me at peace

Poetry Post 196

Simpler Days
What ever happened to the simpler days
Back when people had more innocent ways
Those days were so few
Those days I barely knew
Then they went
Hardly a day spent
It didn't last
So it passed

Uncertainty
My present uncertainties
Leave me with insecurities
Every path I start I want to go back
Always makes me feel like there's something I lack
Bridges burnt at both ends
On opposite sides are lost friends
I don't have a hundred ten percent to give
Nor even a reason to live
I have to find a guiding light for my future through the darkness of my past
All I have is a boat without motor or mast
I am lonely lost and confused
What else is there to lose

A Man On My Own
I was born a man of my own
But shaped in the shadow glory has shown
I was the lesser known
So they expected me to be a clone
I'm not my father I'm not my brother
I am myself and I don't belong to any other
Grown from the seed into the same family tree
Has cost me my right to be me

My Will
I won't succumb to self fulfilled prophesy
Society won't define my destiny
My will is mine and free
To be what I choose to be

Dream World

When I turn off the light
As I shut my eyes each night
I see a dreamworld filled with fun
Each day when the work is done
A world of field and trees
A land where you can do as you please
Enjoy the wildlife all around
Explore each spot of ground
Take in the fresh air
Then do as you care
In this pure land
Untouched by man

Goodbye City Hello Country
Goodbye city
I'm going to a better place for me
Where nature's choirs fly
Over the Earth's endless ceiling we call the blue sky
So long crowded loneliness and pollution
I've found at long last my solution
A place of privacy and peace
And wilderness too big to cease

In Defense Of Michael Moore
You cover my mouth with your hand
While your head's hiding in the sand
You don't want someone at the mic
Exposing truths you don't like
You do not want to look beyond the illusion
Fearing failure of faith left you in confusion
The macrosystem will have an eruption
Once I show the proof of their corruption
"Please tell me there's corporate employee loyalty
Please tell me money does not make American royalty
Please let our guns protect us from the messenger
Please help guard us from the dark strangers"
Your hopes are vain
Leaving only pain
Our world is too gullible
If they think they're infallible

Land & Power
People want the world and something to lean on
People want everything not caring where it will go when they're gone
People want the world on command
But their mortal dust will return to the land
Why do they yearn for what they cannot control
Why should Earth be bind by a mortal man's soul
The massive collectives of ecosystems are collectively delicate
Too much to be under control by a man's estate

Society's Obsession
Fear is our society's obsession
To distract they use repression
Those who resist meet oppression
As the rest hide in regression
When they're afraid to do more
Society will start to ignore
If they can't do anything about it
Through denial they'll refuse to admit
But how long can we last
Trust ideals dead long past
Even with nothing else to do
They're still afraid of the new
But they'd rather live in their pollution
Than take up a new solution
