22 Things a Woman Must Know If She Loves a Man with Asperger's Syndrome Rebuttal

This book is a very derogatory and offensive piece of literature of aspie-intolerance and I took extreme offense to it especially considering the female author Rudy Simone is an aspie and therefore I think she may have used Asperger's Syndrome as an excuse to be sexist. It is a horrible misrepresentation of some of the most decent people I know so I'm taking the chapter titles and rebutting every accusing title

1. There will be loneliness. (aspies have trouble showing affection in ways that does not appear as smothering or obsessive so sometimes they have to learn to be indifferent or else they get accused of stalking)

2. There will probably be no public displays of affection. (socially appropriate interaction is hard to understand for aspies considering how many double standards there are regarding what kind of associate can do or say what things in front of another associate and they fear being called brash or presumptuous)

3. Labels and romantic expectations make him feel nervous. (EVERYTHING makes aspies feel nervous don't imply we wouldn't be intimate because of it)

4. He will take you and the relationship for granted. (pure bs if I ever read any. Asperger men treasure every relationship regardless whether sex is implicit in the relationship or not which I assume she's implying. I personally treasure the female friends who are platonic and miss the ones I've lost contact with because of the mutual support)

5. He may have a more patient approach to sex than you do. (this should not imply aspies don't have a sex drive we certainly DO we are just not forceful)

6. Communication will always be a challenge. (There are lone periods of being spaced out and conveying emotions in words with proper connotations may be hard but aspies are very expressive in my experience)

7. There will be shock. (Shock will come whether or not you personally invest yourself in a relationship with an aspie just knowing them casually you will be shocked anyway there's no skeletons in the closet)

8. Your man may not be there for you in a crisis. (I have been there for people I don't even like in the slightest but help because of my respect for principle rights of every human and I defend people I hardly know from slander and stick up for them)

9. Many AS males can be cranky, have bad tempers and can explode at the slightest of things. (Temper tantrums and irritations should not imply childish selfishness or bursts of anger in the aspie context it is usually an OCD drive for order to protect from chaos or a principle of moral or philosophic issue one should not back down from)

10. Your man may have a hard time completing a college degree, holding on to a job or seeing things through. (jobs and degrees may have come hard to me but I always see the important things through by planning them out ahead and focusing on a strategy)

11. He may get depressed and/or completely inert for long periods of time. (emotional support from a loved one would help all relationships are a two way street)

12. There will be times he embarrasses you. (all people are embarrassing aspies at least have an excuse other than he's drunk, stoned, or raised by ignorant racist parents)

13. Your family and friends may think you're being a doormat and a fool. (I don't even understand this wild misconception most people think I'm the dormat they even tell that I'm being manipulated)

14. People will tell you he's just being a man. (Except regarding sexual appetites I have never in the slightest way been regarded as just being a man)

15. You must have a good social support network, so you can go out and have fun once in a while. (everyone needs a good social support group outside of the the monogamous sexual relationship so they can relate feelings regarding issues from their perspective in sexual relationships)

16. Your AS male will not care about the things you do without him and there will be things he does not share with you. (he does and tries to put an interest in them but he can not fake an interest but he will still be a part of it in support of you, aspies have empathy toward people just not toward things they just don't get)

17. Time holds a different meaning for him than it does for you. (I don't know what she's implying by that)

18. He will probably want to sleep on the couch starting very early in the relationship and continuing throughout. (I'm a restless sleeper but I am a cuddler except when restlessness or overheating make me feel awkward)

19. You will never change him, even if you can succeed in getting him to change his behaviour. (no one can change anyone it is called the will of self)

20. Even if he loves you and values your relationship, it is possible you may never get a commitment. (aspies like things that last forever change bothers them once you are part of his world he will try to keep you at all costs)

21. Many AS/NT relationships go through various metamorphoses. (this happens in all relationships and is a good thing since different points in life require a different kind of commitment)

22. Your relationship will stand a much better chance if your man will REACH.
(Effort in important always in every sort of relationship for each partner don't imply it is a hardship peculiar to apies)

Poetry Vol 123

Something Happens
Something happens every time I'm with you
Something only your friendship can do
When my spirit is consumed in depression
Only your company puts it in regression
As long as I can know that you do care
There's very little I cannot bear
I do not fear this being within your capability
Because I know you would not abuse the responsibility

Something Heartfelt
The fleshly rose that glows when you grin
Does something to me within
I feel something heartfelt
Like the ice in my veins begin to melt
A cold lonely mountain revived in the morning spring sun
You've done what I feared could never be done
But when the moon arrives so does the frost
And everything you've done for me is lost
Only a memory and a hope to see you tomorrow
Allows tolerance to get through this sorrow
Until then I'll pretend everything is alright
Dreaming of a world where we're united tonight

So Humbled

Any joy lost could be gained again
Except if I lose you as a friend
Pardon if my rhymes aren't perfect
They don't mean to imply inspirational defect
But you showed progress can come without restraint
Your friendship has come without fear, anxiety or any complaint
No time I spend with you ends up in strife
You are my first shot at love and even more my second shot at life
There is only one fear in something so near perfection
That time and space might naturally erode our connection
So I seek you out to show appreciation
To serve as our emotional protection

Poetry #107

Ebony IV
Loving you is like a cold blanket over my heart
Thinking of your kindness while we're apart
The distance freezes me over like a snowstorm
Knowing I'll be with you keeps me warm
Keeping visions of you in my sight
Keeps me warm at night
Fears that all this might end
Freezes over me again

Next Best Thing

All I hear are women complaining there are no good men
They all assume all men are like their last boyfriend
Until they meet a new one and it starts all over again
Then it's back to me wishing they had the courage to make it all end
Move on to the next relationship to let their heart mend
Why can't they love me I can't comprehend
I've been an ear piece, a comforter, a time sharer, a woman's best friend
What horrible sin have I committed to be so unforgiven
What makes me worse than all these other men
I know I'm not handsome, but laughter, conversation, time and love I have given
All this you acknowledge and commend
I don't say any of this as boastful means to self serving ends
But why when it all falls down again
I am still no more than a friend

Rachel

Seeing your face as you come toward me
Reminds me of the sunrise over the horizon of the sea
Your words are like a zephyr that caresses me
There is no moment so tranquil to compare to your beauty

Poetry Post 93

Destined Love
The man and the woman need each other that's how it is designed to be
There's nothing wrong with me needing you or you needing me
Two birds can fly together and still be free
You shouldn't deny the desire of your heart
Your innate needs you showed from the start
Humans were not meant to be set apart
There is no harm in trying to find
Someone with the same frame of mind
So two together will be one of a kind
Nothing about it is demeaning
You're still a valuable human not a worthless thing
It is simply a symbol of love that gives you this ring

Soulmates
Soulmates are man made not God created
By people who feel closer than if they were related
It is a bond of intimate passion
And a bond of intimate compassion
Something of spirituality
Something of sexuality
But most of all something of unity
Something that leads me to understand you and you to understand me

Taken

You took my gold
No thank you told
You, who was enchanted
Took my love for granted
Everything I give you have taken
My love and trust you've forsaken

Poetry Post 76

Field Of Grass
Running through the field so green
Taking in the air so clean
Living in this place of peace wandering free
Living forever in Earth's harmony
As I lie down under a shady tree
Living on what God gave me
Spending my day down by the creek
Letting all my pain grow weak
I am on a high of fresh air
I can do whatever I dare
There's no cloud to ruin the fun
Just the warm thrill of the sun
Climbing on every rock and tree
Letting myself be me
Swimming across the river so deep
Climbing all the hills so high and steep
I've forgotten all about my blues
I've forgotten all my bad news
With what God gave me I feel refreshed and anew
I am free to do what I want to do
To enjoy what Mother Nature has to provide
Here away from society I will hide
Peace and calmness comes upon me
I am finally out and free

Waiting For God's Day
So many Christians waiting for Armageddon
Lagging, waiting, whining, toiling on
They focus on the destination not the path
So ungratefully they grow in wrath
Everyone wanting to see the Kingdom today
Not recognizing the present is more than a gateway
There is a reason God alone knows the hour
So He can see what we'll do with our mortal power

Illusive Love
Every day in the morning I say "I love you" but no one receives it
I hear a voice telling me one day there will be, if only I believed it
The only way I can survive the lonely nights in my bed
Is to keep a vision of my illusive love in my head

Poetry Post 54 (Parental Advisory: Explicit Content May Casue Unplanned Pregnancy and Headaches Wait That's Alcohol)

Platonic Lust
Joy reflects from the love I see in your face
Offering comfort that follows you every place
Always seems to come from sincerely being concerned
Never causing doubt that your affection is earned
Never have I felt the burden of pain in your presence
Acceptance is innately of your essence
Could you give such love never expecting to receive such love
Others cannot help but be drawn to what you're a part of
For you have all the compassion of a mother, a lover, a nurse and a friend
Forever giving care, a cure, soothing pains with a means to amend
Even when I'm alone thoughts of you keep me company
You, for all you've been, will always be a part of me

The Honeymoon
Feel my fingers stroking you from the neck to the shoulder blade as I taste your earlobe
Caressing fingers like a soft warm wind float across your body to disrobe
Erotically unwrapping the gift of your flesh and bone
Periodically massaging every erogenous zone
Refreshing your nerves easing tension in your muscles until you start to spasm
Embrace the physical communion and lead me to your orgasm
Then great comfort shall follow great ecstasy
As I feel you in my arms next to me

Honeymoon Union Graphic Explicit

I want to fulfill your every wet dream
Liberating your senses and releasing your cream
To see the blood rush through your extremities as I hear you scream
Rushing your neurons over your body like a rapid river stream
And your muscles contract in our grasp at a climax supreme

Post 48 of Poetry (from the journal entries of a former zygote)

Mother Complex
I was born with an umbilical cord where a spine should be
But I'm free to be whatever Mother chooses for me
Sitting like a fetus I'd bury my head
My Mother's lap is my blanket and my bed
My Mother's with me even when I'm alone
She is always on my mind it is not my own
She has such high expectations for her accidents
But every step I take is another disappointment

Unconditional Love
Don't worry, there was no test you had to pass
My love for you will always be unconditional
I'll help you in bad times to befall
No matter how long they last
I'll be more than your best friend
I'll be with you anywhere just to show that I care
I'll show my soul bare just for you to share
And pledge I'll follow you to our end

Leslie
My dear Leslie
You are the only one to me
Who can make me truly happy
You give me reason to live
With you I am no longer afraid of the negative
So I may look through to see the positive

Poetry Post 37 (a very special day of all poetry posting)

Role Playing & Self-Prophesy
Come here and look at me
Tell me everything you see
Let it be my self-prophesy
Set the standards of what I am to be
I have no self-will
Give me something to fulfill
I'll be whatever you say
I just need a role to play

To Brittany Gray VI
What can I offer what can I say
That would make you want to stay
I'd keep you in my embrace forever if I could find a way
What can I offer what can I do
To spend another moment with you
Anything for just a minute or two

Eluding Danger
Something sad and beautiful
Like a well attended funeral
Sudden escape from tragedy
Causing calm to conquer calamity
Alarmed
But unharmed
Just escaping a series of unfortunate events
Solving and surviving problems are just ongoing accomplishments

Poetry Post 36 (oh come on why did I have to write so many?)

Thank You My Love
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for who you are and what you do
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for being the one I can go to
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for always getting me through
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for your support in all I pursue
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for letting me know the love you give is true
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for being the sweetest girl I ever knew
Thank you my love I thank you
I thank you for all the humanity in you

Tears Of Jehovah
A tear for every child neglected
A tear for every parent disrespected
A tear for every bullet shot
Another tear for everyone who it caught
A tear for the divisions set upon us by hate
A tear for the forces that would rather destroy than create
A tear for every life they try to eliminate
A tear for every law of humanity that we deviate
A tear for every time God's Name is used for ignorance and intolerance
A tear for every time authority hypnotizes society into a trance
A tear for every time words of peace and love are silenced
A tear for every time we try to justify violence
A tear for every time life seems to have no worth
So many tears of Jehovah it could drown the whole Earth

Lonesome Wolf II
Walking alone still in the vast wilderness
The Lonesome Wolf wanders with his loneliness
He has no friends and has no mate
He cannot change this it is his fate
He goes a long way from the pack
He was outcasted and can never come back
He howls his prayers for someone again to the moon
His life is going by too fast and needs someone soon

Part 30 Poetry (and just getting warmed up)

To Heather Mills

Heather, a lady deserving of dignity
Heather, a woman I serve with loyalty
To her I'll give my whole-hearted dedication
To her I'll give her non-restraining protection
I'll show my affection as a platonic friend
Until the passion of love it shall transcend
Passion and compassion, lover and friend
Mixed together in an equilibrium blend
As a true gentleman and her lover
I shall until eternity love her
A love of respect and of consideration
A love like calming meditation
A love of freedom and security
A love of passion and of purity

Comfort Love
I want a love that fits like a pennyloafer
Comfort casual a friendship that's hardly more
One that can go with me anywhere and not get complicated
Together so long our quirks won't get us irritated
If I can't have a friendship with romance
I would not give it half a chance
It's as simple as it sounds love won't last without love
Love that warms and protects like a cotton glove

Senseless Censorship
Liberals censoring the politically incorrect
Conservatives censoring the "dissident sect"
Protecting us against senseless muttering
So many beeps on the t.v. set sounds like stuttering
All that is said is mute or dumb
Waiting years for wisdom to come
Why are why are Bush and Clinton heroes
But we persecute those on talk shows
Why is Michael Moore the commie?
Why is Bill O'Reilly the Nazi?
The President and Congressmen have the power
The commentators only have their hour

29th Log Entry of Poetry (and a lot more left)

Wars
Jesus never carried a sword
His fight and protection was God's Word
Truth and love are stronger than spears
Any man who carries both should have no fears
A man with a gun
May kill everyone
But he can't tame the powers of truth and love on the next generation
It'll shine through all creation
You can't go through the road of narrow
Carrying a bow and arrow
This world was not given to die in war
Prevention is the only way to restore

The Woods
Walking along the forest of brown and green
Going where the air is fresh and clean
No sign of destruction of a flower or tree
Miles away from the pollution of industry
Peace with God and all His Creation
Leaves me with a calm sensation
Life in the woods exists in peace
Here is where God's wonders never cease

Subliminal Affection
I love you but you love me in a different way
I live my life hiding my want pretending it's all okay
Subliminal affection is in everything I do
Whenever I am doing anything for you
There is no one to confide in
There is no place for my love to hide in
My motives and emotions are seeping through
Ever getting a more transparent view
I want to hide but my love persists
But as it does your love resists

25th Trilogy of Poetry

Deaf, Dumb & Blind
Tongues without speech
Hearts out of reach
Eyes without sight
To another man's plight
Two ears that can't hear
Another man crying in fear
In a land love left behind
Wander the deaf, dumb and blind

Human Cost
Bush bombing Baghdad babies
Raging wars on ifs and maybes
Smart bombs, friendly fire
Linguistic tools created by the Liar
How could we look at the lives and lands we desecrate
And not be burning from tears churning from our self-hate
And there is still more truth than we are allowed to see
More than we could even imagine there could be
We haven't even yet paid the final cost
Paying back for the lives that we lost

Waiting
I wait for a woman to tell me she loves me
I wait for that moment to be
The moment never experienced but somehow familiar
Not any girl in particular
Just any girl who'll make me feel
Like her love is truly real
I wait for the moment when I can be someone's soul mate
To have a relationship where I can relate
I want old fashion love with a new and broader mind
I want to be chivalrous and kind
I'm waiting for a girl who will understand why I am the way I am
I'm waiting for a love not a one night scam
Waiting for the girl who will want to be more than a friend
Waiting for the beginning of something that will never end
Waiting for my Yoko Ono to share my convictions and interests
Waiting for a heart that doesn't misinterprets
Waiting for my first kiss
Waiting for that moment I won't let myself miss
For the moment I have someone's soul to be my blanket
Waiting for the one seen but never met
I'm waiting for that moment I have someone who respects and understands my opinions
Someone to be a lover and companion
I want a wife that is a friend and a care giver to look after me
To give a motherly sense of security
To reassure that I am loved
To go from shunned pigeon to blessed dove
I want love and inner peace
When I have it may it never cease
I want someone to share my every sunny day
I want someone to chase the clouds away
Someone to lend a shoulder to cry on
To lend two weeping eyes when I'm gone
To lend two arms to embrace
To lend two arms to lift me when I've fallen from grace
To lend a pair of lips to kiss
To lend a heart so I may give it bliss
To lend a body to caress
To lend two ears to hear me confess
I want the warmth of romantic love rooted in mutual interest, friendship and respect
I want someone to share my idea of perfect
I'm waiting to be wanted, not necessarily needed, but desired
I'm waiting for love where both are empowered
Someone who knows they can do without me but rather not try
Someone who knows they can live alone but rather die
I want my poetic fantasies to come true
I want a sun to shine on my sky of blue
I want a world where my idealism and love are not in vain
I wait for love to no longer be a pain
I'm looking and waiting for my word to be heard
Where my artistic ability is revered and honored
I'm waiting for that day
Actively looking for one every which way
I am waiting for the acknowledge of my worth
So my life won't be a vain existence on Earth
I'm waiting for appreciation
Beyond family obligation

24th set of Poetry

Teaser
I want a sophisticated tease
Someone I have to work at to please
A woman with true love you have to earn
Not just a personal accessory to be worn
A lady who knows you don't deserve
Until after you learn how to serve
I'd love a woman with a full life to live
Who knows when to receive and when to give
I need a woman who won't give any man a chance
If that man can't spare a little romance.

Sweet Heart
My thoughts and feelings are never alone when I'm with you
You are my friend, a complement to everything I do
Straightforward, intimate conversations of all kinds
We reach the vulnerable parts of each others' minds
How can someone so great have so much in common with me
Reflecting off you I can finally find the confidence you see

Romantic Timing

Could I be your lover or am I just a friend
Does my affection flatter you or does it offend
Did I miss my chance or did I came too soon
Or were my chances of you further than the moon
Does this change the way you feel of me
Or does this relationship have limited possibility
If so did I just lose my best friend
Or could we cover this up and just pretend

23rd set of Poetry

The Sting Of The WASP
I feel the sting of the WASP pricking at my skin
But the wound that hurts the most is the one within
Segregation splits the whole
And leaves the mind a vacant hole
The WASP fights to defend it's kind which isn't kind
Destroying unity and peace of mind
You cannot see the pain that's placed onto the beaten heart
That comes when the human family is set apart
Prodigal Sons do not see God loves all His Children
That all can hear His Voice from His Home and are welcomed to come in

The World II
The world is being torn apart
By each and every broken heart
The world is dying from lack of Godly love
What it needs is the peace of the dove
But peace is divided into smaller pieces by each war
And the only love we can find is bought from a whore
What are we doing where are we going
Stonewalls and iron curtains cover over what we should be showing
This world will end in a cold fire
If we don't harness natural love and desire
The final destruction will be the final end
If we don't look at our neighbor as our friend

Ideal Relationship
You gave me more than I thought I could receive
A relationship where neither are deceived
Without mind games we become heart menders
We become a credit to our genders

Volume 18th trilogy of poetry

Money Cycle
Money flows through like the waters of the earth and sky
It vapors up and rains back down passing itself by
But people live in fear and doubt
When amidst a never ending drought
Water stores itself in immeasurable masses in the sky
As vegetation and wildlife whither and die
The earth pleads and it calls
But no rain water falls
Praying for rain is vanity
When the clouds keep their humidity
It will with the right pressure stay in its place
Destroying the earth in a slow agonizing pace

Tuned Out
Communication has no effect
My senses have disconnect
I can no longer recognize your face
I'm at home and lost in space
Nothing imports to my brain
So your attention is in vain
But thank you for being there
So when I wake I'll know you care
For when my wandering's done
We both know I'll need someone

Ode To Eve
I could have every tree in my garden but it's not paradise without you
I could keep a zoo of pets in my den but it's not paradise without you
Even though my land has always flourished and the sky is ever blue
I am too lonely to call it paradise without you
I could have infinite time
And every mountain to climb
But it's not paradise without you
I could have the softest flower bed
But loneliness would fill my head
For it is not paradise without you

Sweet 16th Poetry Log

Fire

Fire, the living non-living
Energy of it's soul it starts giving
Warm, shining brightly upon midnight
Burning and churning giving off light
How bright it shines our soul
Burning wild and out of control
Living and producing freely
A symbol of doing what we dare to be

October Rain

Walking through the October rain
Letting it wash away my pain
Feeling the wind blowing on by
As I watch the leaves start to fly
I sit on my bench shielded beneath the tree
And I watch around the rain that covers me.

To Lindsey Fox And Heather Beckett

To all this world my words are mute
My own significance minute
Save only you, who cared for me
Who showed me love I longed to see
Whose love is lasting forever
And time shall never dissever
Constant as the river does flow
It warms myself down to the soul
With eyes that shine on through the night
Like stars that light the heavens bright
You welcome me like summer's breeze
You calm me like the shade of trees
You make me feel so very calm
With just a simple touch of the palm
Embracing me with your silk skin
It sooths me to be with you now and then

Personal Information

I feel the need to give a little more information. Most of the poems I've posted so far are about something that takes up a third of my volumes of poetry. The three topics I use most often in poetry are romantic love, personal reflection, ideological views. The one I've used the most is ideological views because I guess I can feel sort of proud of myself but I truly don't like any of my three genres which is why I'm not as ambitious as I think I should be for someone who is so positively re-enforced in this habit (what little friends I have do say I'm good at writing, poetry at least). What I hate about each genre is distinct to it's nature. I find when I write love poetry I feel like a phony because what inspired the poetry never works out so I feel very gullible to my own emotions which seems flimsy and almost certainly must make me look like a man whore. When I write reflective it makes me look self-centered I think you can't write reflective without appearing that way even if it's a form of self-evaluation. But
whereas I don't like ideological poems because it makes me look pious and self-righteous but I look back at the poems I feel proud that what the poem represents is something I truly feel is bigger than myself
