Another Knocking

The Preacher:
(Policeman knocking) Who's that knocking at my door?
(opens door) Oh hello officer
What are you here for?
The Policeman:
Your neighbor is pressing a trespassing offense
And don't give me your free speech defense
You broke city council ordinance
The Preacher:
I'm still going to fight this on court
The Policeman:
Sure I don't see who it would hurt
Your work doesn't exactly have community support

Love Chances
I'm living in a lonely heart nightmare
Living without a love to share
Shackled by defeat and despair
But I don't say it's unfair
I don't give any reason to care
Secluded with painful contentment in my lair
Risking stable misery is a bet I'd never dare
I could never bare the taste of a sour affair
And with little to offer and nothing to spare
The chances of success is far too rare

Tears
Ejaculation is the crying of the hardhearted man
Society puts emotions and tears under ban
Baring one's core is something they canned
We freeze our depression and fears
And we bottle it up over the years
Trying to find an alternative to our tears

Judger's Judgment
Faggot and pervert instead of Samaritan and Gentile
Jesus never banned his love based on labels so senselessly vile
From harlots to tax collectors Jesus spread God's Word
Why should ones assigned as heathens die by a sinner's sword
If the sick are willing the Physician heals the ailing
Because like cancer the sin in them is not to their failing

At The Police Station

Neighbor:
I'd like to report a trespassing officer
The Policeman:
I'm sorry but I don't have time for a misdemeanor
Neighbor:
But there's a pest knocking at my door
The Policeman:
Well technically there's no crime against that sir
Neighbor:
But he's asking me uncomfortable questions about religion and war
The Policeman:
I know who you're talking about he's called The Preacher
I hate that antagonistic pest
Neighbor:
So you're going to make an arrest
The Policeman:
If you want to press charges be my guest

Courtney The One
Your eyes are the light in which I follow
Your body shields me from all sorrow
Your smile is the essence of tranquility
Your faith installs faith in me
Love and empathy is embodied in your personality
At the height a goddess should be
Strong willed, outspoken in your opinion
Yet nurturing, supportive and feminine
You've transcended from a friend to a lover and to soulmate
And you've surpassed them all because you're so great
A woman who humbles me for making me feel better
She'll never how lucky I am to have met her

Life's Been Good To Me

I'm not one to downplay my misery
But all the same life's been good to me
To say the least at least I'm free
Free of the would or could or should I be
I have access to every wonder I see
I have no hopes but happiness comes unexpectedly
When you don't hang your hopes on expectancy

Cruisin'
Cruisin' under heaven's blue sky
Ridin' thru roads untried
Cuttin' an elliptical breeze
While listenin' to classic oldies
Cruisin' from morning sun's rise
Won't stop ridin' till the day's demise
May seem wasted but at least I'm having fun
Just something to do to kill time till the day is done
