No Offense Taken "Not In Stock"

This based on an observation that I noticed about what offends people and how it affects the marketability of items like if you want to find a Public Enemy or Rage Against The Machine album but WalMart only carries edited Kid Rock cds

(customer at customer's service at a DVD/CD/book/video game store)
Customer: Hello
Salesclerk: Hi how may I help you?
Customer: Yes do have The Catcher In The Rye?
Salesclerk: No sir
Customer: (surprised) Why not?
Salesclerk: Well it wouldn't sell much around here so we just don't stock it.
Customer: Why wouldn't it sell it's a classic.
Salesclerk: It is also deemed profane and this is the Bible belt so most people wouldn't buy it. But we have a vest collection of erotica like this one. (holds book) We have a special sale on this one. It's about a lonely housewife who sleeps with the gardener only to find out that the husband paid him to kill her so he could leave her without a divorce settlement.
Customer: No, no. You kinda gave that one away didn't you?
Salesclerk: My mother loves it. She reads everything Mary Wiggins writes.
Customer: I see you have a lot of video games, do you per chance have a copy of Wizards & Warriors or Dungeons & Dragons?
Salesclerk: No once again this is the Bible belt we don't even carry Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings but we do have every version of Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto released yet.
Customer: I see (under his breathe) suppose violence is okay just as long as there's no magic, makes sense since the Jesus freaks are known for their scientific curiosity as well as their humanity (returning to normal) Well perhaps you have Nirvana or 2Pac?
Salesclerk: No 2Pac is gangsta rap what with the violence and profanity but we do have Eminem and as for Nirvana they've been linked to drug dependency and suicidal behavior...
Customer: (interrupting) By who?
Salesclerk: By the clergy and the police.
Customer: Both?
Salesclerk: Well they're the same thing here but as I was saying if you like hard rock we got Metallica, Guns N Roses and Motley Crue.
Customer: No I hate pussy and beer rock. Do you have Shaft or Foxy Brown?
Salesclerk: A little too gangsta they glorify violence against he establishment, but we do have every Italian mafia, James Bond, Prohibition gangster and John Wayne western movie all chuck full of gun fighting.
Customer: Do you have Roots on DVD?
Salesclerk: No racial films are too controversial we can't sell them here.
Customer: How about Ghetto Gang Bangers 17?
Salesclerk: Yes we do right behind that string curtain.

What Is Sin?
How do you measure a sin?
(By how the motives begin?)
How do you measure the wrong you do?
Is it a numerical value?
Is it based on the number victimized?
Or is it too vague to analyze?
Is sin an act or a sensation?
Is it measured by its duration?
Is sin succeeded by punishment or consequence?
Is our pain a penalty or coincidence?
The Prodigal Son and the Good Samaritan
Favored by Jah but forgotten by man
So is sin born into us doomed to never die?
Are we condemned the first time without a second try?
Is sin unforgivable when you give up resistance?
Is it wrong to when perfection is so long a distance?
If failure is inevitable in our mortal existence
How can we fight it with relentless persistence?

Future Sight (Haiku)

Don't live for today
It will soon be yesterday
Set goals for future

Final Wishes
In case something should happen to me
Bury me by my maple tree
Hire a grave man scribe my tombstone
Hire mourners in black so no one knows I died alone
Hire shovelers to dig the grave
The cost will be the life you couldn't save

Poetry Volume 103

False Mentor
Don't tell me everything is fine when there's no hope at all
Don't help me up just to laugh when I fall
Don't judge me with a down casting smile
Don't blame my mood when you're senile
Don't make the verdict until you have all the facts
The half crazy shouldn't put the young under attack
Don't tell me it's too late
There is no such thing as fate
The difference between you and me
Is that you don't control my destiny

Don't Deny
Your condescending smartelic insults
Will make deadly results
And you will cry crocodile tears
Covering the scar you scratched within me all these years
Don't deny what you did to me
Don't ignore the scars you think only I see
I shall stand and testify
As you try to make me believe that they'll believe a lie
You call me violent you say I'm a pervert
Scarring me just to see me hurt
You act like a self-appointed referee
But you know you feel the same as me
We have the same passions and faults to blame
But you focus on me to unload the shame
Even when others see part of me in you
You, disgusted and sickened, vainly say it is not true

Giving Up
It's no longer any use
Just hang me from a noose
There's nothing I did not try
Just let me peacefully die

Poetry Post volume 102

Beware
Beware the words you say and the things you do
Come full circle back to you
Beware the more enemies you meet
Greater is the chance of defeat
Beware that your past is immortal
Therefore let your path be advisable
Beware what the future holds beyond tomorrow
It's a path you have to follow

Spiritual Healing
People are stopping self-meditation
To focus on self-medication
Some token aid toward inspiration
Looking to guides without education
Blind leading stupid into temptation
Senses are lost numb by over sensation
No longer can tell spiritual elevation
From self-deprivation
Our generation is left in unholy devastation

Natural Feelings

I want to laugh I want to cry
I want to live I want to die
All such thoughts have a reason why
They are all a natural mental state
But one feeling I can't contemplate
Is the thought of hate
The idea is so surreal
I can't understand why one would want to feel
A thought so unnatural so unreal

The Monkees (film) Scene XV

(Peter, Shannon, Mike, Mary, Micky, Carole paired up at the beach going separate directions)
Shannon: So do you all write songs?
Peter: Yes
Shannon: Who writes the most?
Peter: Mike
Shannon: Really? You seem to strike me as more the songwriting type?
Peter: Well Mike has more input being the leader.
Shannon: Why does he lead?
Peter: Because he has the personality for it.
Shannon: Creative, inspiring and compassionate
Peter: No arrogant, demanding and pushy (Shannon laughs) so why is it you like me or at least come to talk to me after the show?
Shannon: Like I said I'm a fan.
Peter: Since when?
Shannon: Since I saw you talking with Micky at the bar. It impressed me how much you do and yet you don't seem to feel appreciated. So what do you like about me?
Peter: Well you're blunt but obviously very considerate.
Shannon: Just like you
Peter: Thanks (song: It's Nice To Be With You)
Hey!
Look what you have done
Showing me the sun
And now it's shining through
It's nice to be with you
Hey!
I like the things you say
And I like the way
You do the things you do
It's nice to be with you
Each time that I give my heart to someone new
They just turn it blue
But this time
Is my time
And my time
Is all the time I have
To be with you
So please
Never go away
Say you're going to stay
And make my dreams come true
It's nice to be with you
Each time that I give my heart to someone new
They just turn it blue
But this time
Is my time
And my time
Is all the time I have
To be with you
So please
Never go away
Say you're going to stay
And make my dreams come true
It's so nice to be with you
Mike: It's such a beautiful night.
Mary: Yes it is. Is this how you pictured married life?
Mike: No it's even better.
Mary: Seriously with all the stress you get from me and the band?
Mike: You and the band are my only stress release, my only companionship it gives meaning to my music (song: Tapioca Tundra)
Reasoned verse, some prose or rhyme
Lose themselves in other times
And waiting hopes cast cast silent spells
That speak in clouded clues.
It cannot be a part of me,
For now it's part of you.
Careful plays on fields
That seems to vanish when they're in between
And softly as I walk away
In freshly tattered shoe.
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you.
Sunshine, ragtime
Blowing in the breeze.
Midnight, looks right
Standing more at ease.
Silhouettes and figures stay
Close to what he had to say
And one more time the faded dream
Is saddened by the news.
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you.
Well, Sunshine, ragtime
Blowing in the breeze.
Midnight, looks right
Standing more at ease.
Sunshine, ragtime
Blowing in the breeze.
Midnight, looks right
Standing more at ease.
Silhouettes and figures stay
Close to what he had to say
And one more time the faded dream
Is saddened by the news.
It cannot be a part of me
For now it's part of you.
Micky: So how are you my muse?
Carole: Okay considering all the uncertainty.
Micky: What uncertainty?
Carole: Of our future together
Micky: There is no uncertainty there. (Song: As We Go Along)
I can tell by your face
That you're looking to find a place
To settle your mind
And reveal who you are
And you shouldn't be shy
For I'm not gonna try
To hurt you or heal you or steal your star
Open your eyes
Get up off your chair
There's so much to do in the sunlight
Give up your secrets
Let down your hair
And sit with me here by the firelight
Why think all about
Who's gonna win out
We'll make up our story as we go along
There's so little time
For us to try to rhyme
And so many highways to travel upon
Open your eyes
Get up off your chair
There's so much to do in the sunlight
Give up your secrets and let down your hair
And sit with me here by the firelght
