Permissive Racism
Living in a land of rapists and racists
How can people wonder why I am an escapist
People always thinking I'm rude because I can't relate
In a world so tolerate of indifference and hate
How can so many black men be found guilty on the defense
When so many free whites started the offense
If a black man kills he makes his people a disgrace
But if a white man kills he's Jewish, queer or somehow disowned from his race
How can color say who is right
Ain't there different shades of white
Dave Berkowitz and Timothy McVeigh were just as light
Does their race make them more or less trustable at night
How can any race be pure with pedophiles and serial killers in their gene pool
How can the ignorant call another man a fool
At least the whites can afford a good school
But that doesn't matter as long as a black doesn't rule
The Activist
Traveling person to person
Trying to get a good deed done
Helping others to find time and invest
In a socially active interest
I passionately pursued people to get fliers sent
But the more I tried the more I found others indifferent
Weak and rejected I had nearly quit
Shut down the charity before I even started it
I continued to preach to each passerby
Asking about the destruction of the Earth but they couldn't care why
Charities are not a place the public will have their lives spent
When slow comfortable deaths are more convenient
One Weak Race
Every man is just a man
Doesn't matter whether native or foreign
We are all doom to sin
Over and over again
There is a drunk in every town
And each country has a killer wearing a crown
There is no use in dividing us by the features of our face
Every nationality has a national disgrace
So don't hate a man for the color of his skin
For there's a weaker man wearing the same shade you're in
And if you track back into your family's history
You'll find the reason for this similarity

27th Part of Poetry Trilogy
Ghetto Boy
Was born with just the streets to roam
Brought up in an environment so crude
He has to scrounge around garbage cans for food
Living without a father and living without a mother
Only had a street gang for a brother
Never learned the difference between wrong and right
Only thing he was taught was how to fight
When he was mad he'd cause a commotion
He never learned the right way to express his emotion
Who can stop a boy for whom no one really cares
He's free and he will do whatever he dares
At age fifteen he used his fists to defend is honor
Never learned how to settle problems with his words before
At sundown they decided to fight
The only witness was the streetlight
In one punch the ghetto boy was down cold
Died in the streets at fifteen years old
There was no funeral or grave
For this soul unsave
I'll never see you again
You've gone to fight in a war you did not chose
A war each side will lose
For no matter who wins we all will have lost
For human life is worth more than any cost
But you are still forced to go in the army
Never again to see me
He has left and gone to die so young
Whether or not this nation is right or wrong
Now the war has long came to an end
And still no sign of my friend
Did he have to die
For a fight with no reason why
Why the war was claimed a victory
Is far beyond me
Season's Reasons
The government didn't take Jesus out of the holiday
It was its citizens who refused Christ's way
People may argue Jesus is the reason
But the corporations are the ones who sponsored the season
Gift stockings, hacked up trees, Santa Claus complete a White Christmas
It is ritual without religion that'll come to pass
Down in the ghetto a poor child without a home
Was born with just the streets to roam
Brought up in an environment so crude
He has to scrounge around garbage cans for food
Living without a father and living without a mother
Only had a street gang for a brother
Never learned the difference between wrong and right

Drafted
So you have been drafted my friend
I'll never see you again
You've gone to fight in a war you did not chose

For no matter who wins we all will have lost
For human life is worth more than any cost
But you are still forced to go in the army

No Offense Taken- "Vagrant Criminal"
(urban street 10:00pm with a homeless man sleeping on a bus stop bench. Cop car comes and parks at the bus stop. Cop walk out and goes to homeless man)
Cop: (waking him up) All right now wake up now you're under arrest.
Vagrant: What? What for?
Cop: (threateningly) Do I have to remind you that you have the right to remain silent fella?
Vagrant: Habeas Corpus
Cop: (shocked, embarrassed) Oh Damn this one's read up on the Constitution. Well you're under arrest for loitering
Vagrant: I'm not loitering I'm homeless.
Cop: So you're still loitering
Vagrant: Well I have to sleep somewhere?
Cop: Well decent, law-biding, economically viable citizens need to use this space.
Vagrant: Where are they? The bus doesn't come until 7:15 in the morning. Do you see a bus coming (looks around) nope no bus (shocked) but there's a cop car parked in it's place.
Cop: (noticing brown paper bag under the bench) Aha you're under arrest for being drunk in public
Vagrant: I demand a breathalyser test.
Cop: (surprised) I don't have one on me. So stand up on one leg and count to ten. (Vagrant stands on his left leg, while the cop grabs the brown paper sack. The vagrant tries to grab it from the cop but falls down) All right that proves it you're under arrest
Vagrant: So what's in the sack?
Cop: The evidence apparently.
Vagrant: I'll waive my right to a warrant if you just reach in and let me see what's in it.
Cop: (reaches in) Okay fine it's (pulls out Aquafina bottle) Zima disguised as Aquafina.
Vagrant: Do you really think any court in the land will believe that?
Cop: That doesn't matter, what does is now the police department has someone to prosecute in place of all the murderers and rapists we can't seem to catch. Hey if you confess to some of those we can save some court money and go light on your sentencing.
Vagrant: But you were already going to send me to court for public drunkenness?
Cop: Public intoxication, besides that would have been for show, a criminal confession gets more press.
Vagrant: Fine I did it all what are the murder and rape charges at least I'll have a decent place to sleep, I haven't had one since they closed the homeless shelter to put up a Starbucks
Cop: (waking him up) All right now wake up now you're under arrest.
Vagrant: What? What for?

Tenth Compilation of Poetry
Moral Majority II
The moral majority is so fond
Of the violent, sexual adventures of James Bond
But if they saw that same show
Go down in the ghetto
They'd judge and condemn
Pointing their finger at them
Using any means to feed the poor is good
As long as you're named Robin Hood
But Big Tobacco
Runs the show
Puts in place the politics and police
In a perpetual process that won't cease
As the police jail every man selling weed
As millions die every decade to tobacco's greed
Sex, violence and drugs are alright if you're rich
But not if you are living in a ditch
You can destroy the ecosystem with your cigar
And your imported sports utility car
But the poor can't fight to survive
As the rich moral majority kill to strive
The Turtle
Although I didn't know her too well
I know my mother left me protected by a shell
When I hatched I found no feather or fin
Just another shell I fit in
I am too slow and too dense
To come to my own defense
I have no mom to look after me
I'd be lucky if I made it to the sea
My only comfort is I can always dwell
Protected inside my shell
No more time to relax for fun
No work is done
No time to sit I have to run
No more sitting by
Enjoying life as time would fly
And without a warning cry
The time and me are going to die
The moral majority is so fond
Of the violent, sexual adventures of James Bond
But if they saw that same show
Go down in the ghetto
They'd judge and condemn
Pointing their finger at them
