Autumn Woman
I look at your face reminding me of a clear autumn day
Your skin, your hair; tender, soft, hued as the leafs on the ground lay
I know I cannot be too shy to play
Or winter winds might take you away
Could I hide behind your shrubbery
And enjoy the aroma and the scenery
Feeling the soft brittle leafs under me
Or as a shade would your hair be as a towering tree
May I lay on your firm and gentle mound
Forever on your cheeks I am loyally bound
As your rich full dark face softly covers the harsh ground
Compliments your voice like the autumn rustling sound
Would the river of your lips invigorate or diminish my soul
The warmth of the light of your eyes has that control
Do they invite or coldly condemn
Would the waters warmly embrace the swim

Amber Osbourne
Amber with eyes that shine like gold
Amber with a smile that never grows old
Amber with a heart that's never cold
Amber with hands so soft to hold
Amber with hair so gentle for me to caress
Amber the one who surpasses the rest
Amber nature's finest work of art
Amber the name that warms my heart

Weakness
I can't keep on this pretense
Every night I kill my innocence
Everyday my sentence grows more immense
Self confidence can't be built
On a mountain of guilt
Where winds of self suspicion make it tilt
I cannot ignore what is wrong
Even more so when it's been going on so long
People believe me to be so weak I can't believe I'm strong

Rights Of A Pacifist

The Prison Guard:
Hey Preacher there's an activist who wants to talk to you
Says she wants to understand better your point of view
The Activist:
Like why do you protest those protecting what you do?
The Preacher:
The rights of a pacifist cannot be won through violence
It can only be protected by breaking the silence
And not let intimidation become a hindrance
The Activist:
But this freedom comes from the soldiers who fight
Those who kill and die protecting your right
Aren't you being disrespectful to their plight?
The Preacher:
How, by saying the war killing them should cease
That they should come home safe in one piece
Is that why I'm locked up with no release?

Power
People look for power
As if the Earth was theirs to devour
They'll use what other people make
They'll grab on whatever they can take
They'll do anything forbidden
To make others do their evil bidden
They'll do it just to feed the ego in their head
But what is this power when they're dead

Rambled Thoughts II
Put your nose to the grindstone
Until you make a point
A teenager alone
In his own joint
He thought he was a rock now he's just stone
Looking for his point

Slow Death
Laying down waiting my long expected death
Feeling weak and down to my single last breathe
Never again to enjoy a sunny day outside
Never again to read the books that stayed by my side
But still no more hatred, torture or pain
Never to be lied to again
So as I wonder laying on my deathbed
Debating, which is the greater pain, in my head
To live with Earthly pain and pleasure
Or to die to cease forever more

The Petition

Neighbor:
(opening knocked door) Now why are you knocking at my door?
The Activist:
Would you like to sign this petition to release the Preacher?
Neighbor:
I had him arrested why would I sign that for?
The Activist:
Why would you even have him arrested at all?
All he did was make a house call
Neighbor:
Boy you freaks have a lot of gall
Look my son is fighting this war
The Activist:
And what is it for?
Neighbor:
Not to have every pest come to my door
And I'm not signing for the Preacher's release
Your antiwar movement is disturbing the peace
Now get away before I call the police

Jeremiah Complex
I speak without any vain piety
But with pencil and paper I'll change society
Speaking truth in mass communication many nations will hear
I'll show Jehovah is someone to revere and endear
I'll show my fellow bleeding hearts neither is God's heart at all cold
I'll show the family values groups God values the whole household
I'll show Jehovah is generous enough to give
The whole universe for every nation of man to enjoy

Fade Away
Goodbye my dear friends
This is how it ends
Although the end is never clear
We can feel the departure coming near
Every bond is broken for every one made
And there is nothing left but for our affection to fade

Old Friends
Old friends reentering their relationship
After they lost contact and let time slip
From no words been spoken
Their friendship grew old and broken
Is it possible for their friendship to grow again
Or has it reached its final end
Will they make it though
Or do they have to start off new

The Activist

The Activist:
Did you get the news today
There's a new cause celebre
An innocent man is locked away
He was just fighting for a higher cause
He didn't break any practical laws
He doesn't deserve prison he deserves our applause
We must make appeals for his release
Maybe even demand the war to cease
We must go to any means to achieve peace

Emily
Emily, don't cry, I've already been torn apart
Emily, don't smile, joy is just too new to my heart
I can't help feeling the same as you do
I never felt this close to anyone but you
I'm sorry but this whole situation is new
I didn't really mean to tell you how to feel
But I've been in pain too long and I don't know what it's like to get healed
Please don't leave I know you don't need permission to smile or cry
I just needed to tell you how I feel and why
I just needed you to know that how you feel will be part of me till I die

Fear Of No Pain

All I see are people of thick skin and thick head
Knowing not what it's like living in dread
Never knowing fear for they are numb of heart
They never cry or fall apart
How can they have no bad in all they feel
Every man has an Achilles Heel
I cannot relate to those who don't show pain
Even Jehovah God cries in the rain

Fools
I can't fool others half as much as I fool me
A fool feels more than he can see
I have loved more than I had thought
I found myself lost and caught
I go further than logic would dare
Looking for a heart to care
All's fair in love and war because any fool who'd get in
Can't tell a fair loss from a cheated win
But what can I do
I'm just a fool looking for an "I love you"
