Poetry #108

Eluding Danger IV
Depressed
And stressed
About the problems yet to face
Trying to find a peaceful place
Keep trying to avoid another complication
When you're trying to escape your current situation
Just escaping a series of unfortunate events
Solving and surviving problems are just ongoing accomplishments

Eluding Danger V
You live in dread and doubt
Trying to figure your life out
Looking for a friend to confide
And give you a place to hide
While unlocking the secrets of your past
Hoping this charade might just last
Just escaping a series of unfortunate events
Solving and surviving problems are just ongoing accomplishments

Winter Depression
On a cold winter afternoon I look out my window
Even shielded by the glass I can feel the cold wind blow
It's like a sad somber autumn when winter has no snow
The bitter wind blows harshly colder so you have no place to go
Nature is a long way from suburbia and I won't get there before dark
The closest field is a thirty minute walk to a litter polluted park
Either way it's just as well when nature's retreated there's nothing to embark
For there is no sign of life when nature clears its mark
